Rock the Village 2014

The Village at Meridian Announces “Rock the Village” Concert Lineup

Local artists will open up for each of the main acts

MERIDIAN, Idaho—June 24, 2014—Just in time for summer, The Village at Meridian has announced its lineup for their summer concert series, “Rock the Village.” The concerts are all located at Fountain Square, at the heart of the Village, and are free to the public. Lawn seating is available on a first come-first serve basis, with limited chairs available. Patio seating at all Fountain Square restaurants will be available for dinner and enjoying the concerts. 

All concerts have opening acts that feature performers from the Idaho Songwriters Association, these will run from 6:05-6:45 p.m. The headlining acts will run from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

  • July 4 - Opening Act: Amy Rose; Headliner: 17 Piece Big Band - Kings of Swing (1940s USO Style)
  • July 11 – Opening Act: Rebecca Scott & Her Band; Headliner: Stone In Love (Journey Tribute Band) 
  • July 18 – Opening Act: Farayi; Headliner: Emily Braden with Kobie Watkins, Justin Nielsen & Dylan Sundstrom
  • July 25 – Opening Act: The Upperclassmen; Headliner: Kahuna Beach Party (Beach Boys Tribute Band)
  • August 1 – Opening Act: James Coberly Smith & Leanne Town; Headliner: Party Crashers (Top 40)
  • August 8 – Opening Act: Rosa Dos Ventos; Headliner: Afrosonics
  • August 15 – Opening Act: Gayle Chapman; Headliner: The Long Run (Eagles Tribute Band)
  • August 22 – Opening Act: Mississippi Marshall; Headliner: High Street Band
  • August 29 – Opening Act: Doug Petcash; Headliner: Radical Revolution (80s Tribute Band)

Specific rules apply to bringing in outside food and beverage, alcohol sales during the concert, parking and reserved seating. Patrons can find all explained in detail on The Village at Meridian website under the Events Tab/Concert Guidelines.
