A new wave of stores announced for the Village North section of the development

MERIDIAN, Idaho—September 3, 2014—The Village at Meridian, the shopping experience located at the corner of Eagle Road & Fairview Road, has announced an array of new retailers and restaurants this month, all located in the Village North section of the development.

“We are thrilled to have a new collection of retailers opening their doors at The Village at Meridian,” says Hugh Crawford, general manager of The Village at Meridian. “As we look at how far we have come in the last year, we realize how lucky we are to have such a diversified shopping experience right here in the Treasure Valley.”

Good Feet, an arch support store, opened at The Village at Meridian yesterday, September 2. Located between Noodles & Company and Meridian Smiles Dentistry, Good Feet helps customers manages foot, leg and back pain by making sure the right shoe is being utilized for each individual’s needs. They also carry therapeutic shoes and show accessories. The store is just under 1,500-square-feet, and will employ four employees.

Café Zupas specializes in gourmet soups, salads and sandwiches that are made in-house from scratch every day. Their new space at the Village at Meridian will include about 3,700-square-feet of dining space and a 1,400-square-foot kitchen area, and will be located next to Which Wich. They plan to hire around 45 employees, including several management-level positions. Café Zupas is planning to have a grand opening celebration on December 20, with half off all meals and the chance to win prizes.

Blaze Pizza will also be joining the Village North dining scene in the later part of 2014, and will be located next to Noodles & Company. Blaze offers an interactive ordering format that allows guests to customize their own 11-inch personal pizza made from fresh, artisanal ingredients that is then sent to a blazing hot open-flame oven for 180 seconds—the centerpiece of the restaurant. The 2,900-square-foot fast-casual restaurant is set to hire around 25 employees.

Also hitting the shopping center in late 2014 is Pier 1 Imports, which will be located between Nike and Petco. Pier 1 Imports’ merchandise assortment ranges from home accessories such as candles, vases and picture frames to full-sized, upholstered furniture, hand-carved armoires, large-scale vases and eclectic wall décor.

Michaels, a popular arts and craft store, opened it’s doors in Village North in mid-July. Other current Village North tenants not mentioned above include Marshalls, Toys “R” Us/Babies “R” Us, Gap, Gordmans, Zoom Care, Sleep Country, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle and Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt.
