The Village at Meridian Spreads Holiday Cheer

The Village at Meridian is keeping the holidays magical in 2020

Meridian, Idaho (November 11, 2020) – The sights and sounds of the holidays are beginning again at The Village at Meridian! The halls are decked with beautiful Christmas décor with the most magical 50-foot holiday tree in Fountain Square. Though things will look a little bit different this year, The Village is determined to keep the holidays magical in 2020!

No-Contact Santa Visits

Photos with Santa are a family tradition for so many. This year, some necessary changes and innovations have been put in place to protect the public and Santa. There will be two chairs separated by a console farmers table with plexiglass in the middle in order to protect guests and Santa while still creating a beautiful photo in Santa’s House. There will be no line for Santa this year! Guests are asked to sign up online at TheVillageAtMeridian.com events page where you can also find more information about when Santa will be in his house. Touchless point of sales will be available for ordering photos from mobile devices.

For guests who are not quite ready for an in-person visit with Santa, The Village at Meridian is offering virtual Santa visits from November 27 through Christmas Eve as another fun, interactive moment. These five-minute video calls will be recorded and available for download as memory keepsakes. To sign up, visit The Village at Meridian website to reserve a space between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Each session includes a five-minute recorded video call for $24.95.

Next to Santa’s house in Fountain Square, children will find a magical mailbox to place their letters and wish lists to Santa. Parents can find the letter stationary online or by visiting the concierge desk. Be sure to drop letters into Santa’s mailbox and include a return address to get a reply from Santa sent to your home! Parents are encouraged to include special fun facts in the letters to surprise the children with personalized letters from Santa this holiday season.

Snowman Scavenger Hunt

Looking for an exciting family outing? Spend a fun, socially distanced afternoon at The Village at Meridian with the Snowman Scavenger Hunt taking place this holiday season! Challenge the family to see who can find all 15 holiday happy snowmen hiding throughout the property. All 15 snowmen will be hiding carefully from November through December. Ice Skating Rink

A holiday favorite at The Village at Meridian is the winter ice rink. The Village at Meridian is happy to offer this to the public again with a few slight modifications to comply with CDC guidelines and state mandates. Beginning November 14, the ice rink will be open for reservation-based skating. Visitors can make their reservation for 30-minute increments online at The Village at Meridian’s website. After making the online reservation, guests will receive a text to present to the cashier. This will serve as a voucher for check in upon arrival at the ice shack. For more information about online reservations and sanitation protocols, please visit The Village at Meridian’s website.

Interested in learning how to ice skate? In partnership with Fireworks Skating Academy, a Learn to Skate program will be offered where guests can take skate lessons from professionals. Lessons will be led by four-time Olympic coach and director, Craig Maurizi with the help of professional ice skaters teaching classes. Visitors can sign up online. Visit The Village at Meridian’s Learn to Skate page for pricing and hours.

This isn’t all that’s going on at The Village at Meridian for the holidays. For more details about other great events, please visit The Village at Meridian website at www.thevillageatmeridian.com.
