Dining Concept Reinvented at The Village at Meridian
Three food trucks will add brick and mortar locations to their offerings
Boise, ID (January 21, 2014) Forget the boring food courts of yesterday, The Village at Meridian is proud to welcome a new foodie concept sure to be a hit with shoppers. Known in the Treasure Valley for their upscale movie theater, retail stores and national restaurants, The Village at Meridian is gearing up for a new feature--a food pavilion. Three former food truck vendors, Cacicia’s Cucinas, Calle 75 and RiceWorks will be taking up permanent residency in the center of all the action. Located in Fountain Square, patrons will have easy access to each eatery and enjoying a healthy and fresh meal. Both Cacicia’s and Calle 75 are slated to open on January 24th, and RiceWorks will join in mid-February.
Specializing in recipes straight from Sicily, Cacicia’s boasts an eco-friendly business and health-conscious menu. Their family recipes have been passed down for generations since 1886. “We are proud to be working alongside some of the finest food trucks in the Treasure Valley. We hope to continue to build on the positive experience that has already been generated here at The Village at Meridian and we’re fortunate to be a part of it,” says Michelle Anderson, owner of Cacicia’s Cucinas. “We want our guests to enjoy not only amazing food but create an experience they’ll remember. Every order is made with a special flair and you can see your dish created right before your eyes.”
Cacicia’s regular hours will be Monday-Thursday 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday-Saturday 10 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m.-6 p.m.
Authentic street-style Mexican cuisine can be found at Calle 75. Although there are multiple taco trucks and Mexican eateries in Idaho, Calle 75 is proud to emphasize sourcing the highest-quality ingredients, creativity and passion to bring the best product to their customers. “We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this fresh new outlook featuring small local businesses,” says Mike Weems, owner of Calle 75 Street Tacos. “People love to see their food being created in front of them and we have nothing to hide. It’s our passion, energy and excitement of doing what we love, bringing each and every customer the best experience and product possible.”
Calle 75’s regular hours will be Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m.-9 p.m.
RiceWorks is an eatery specializing in Asian fusion. One of their most popular dishes is their signature Spicy Korean Tacos. The crisply griddled tortillas, spicy marinated chicken and authentic kimchi flare bring many patrons back for more. “We present an energy that people have come to love so much from our food truck,” says Phu Tran, owner of RiceWorks. “We are thrilled to bring that to an actual brick and mortar location at The Village at Meridian. We love connecting with the general public from the kitchen; It allows our customers to connect not only with the food but with the chefs themselves.”
RiceWorks’s regular hours will be Monday-Friday 10 a.m.-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Each food eatery will also continue to run their food truck for special events.
