Carhartt Signs Lease for New Retail Space Inside the Village at Meridian

CARHARTT SIGNS LEASE FOR NEW RETAIL SPACE INSIDE THE VILLAGE AT MERIDIAN IN MERIDIAN, IDAHO, SET TO OPEN IN FALL 2016

MERIDIAN, IDAHO – (May 23, 2016) – Carhartt, America’s premium workwear brand since 1889, today announced it has signed a lease with the Village at Meridian shopping center in Meridian, Idaho, near Boise. The lease for the retail space will feature Carhartt’s 28th company store. The store is projected to open in July and will be the first of its kind in the state.

“It’s exciting to open a company store in one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S.; especially one steeped in railroad history, an industry at the forefront of our company history since 1889. Carhartt began as a company that made overalls for railroad workers,” said Jamie Millar, vice president of retail at Carhartt.”
The Village at Meridian store will occupy approximately 3,400-square feet and will carry hundreds of men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel styles, footwear and accessories. Expect to find Carhartt’s iconic brown duck, sandstone and denim styles as well as the brand’s all-new Force Extremes™ and Force performance line, Full Swing® products offering full range of motion technology, and lightweight Quick Duck® outerwear, amongst other products infused with rugged technologies such as Rain Defender® durable water-repellent outerwear and sweatshirts.

The new store is located at 3424 E. Longwing Lane, suite 150 in Meridian, Idaho, and is the latest to join company store locations based in Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
